First virtual club meeting!
We had our first virtual meeting last night (5/7/20) using Zoom. We had 14 people join us for a presentation from Robert and Mary Ellen Bolton on their trip in Feb to New Zealand. We also got an update from David Jones and Ari Garcia on their new off-road training company, "Safety on Two Wheels." Watch for an announcement from them soon.
I recorded the meeting so everyone could see how it went. In hindsight I would do things a little differently but we are all learning how to deal with this new more online environment. One thing to note that is not that obvious is that I posted the Zoom recording on Youtube but I made it "unlisted." That basically means that you must have the link to view the video - it is not Google searchable (or any other search engine). Just a way to protect people's privacy who may not want to be that public.
I will also have another club Zoom session soon where we can have more open discussions without a formal agenda. Kind of an online "Meetup." I'm just looking for ways to evolve the club in this new normal. Let me know your ideas.
