Meeting Minutes from the Club Meeting at Wolfsmiths on 1/10/2026

o We had 20.5 attendees at this last meeting (see picture).
o Fernando presented on Motorcycle Maintenance topics, as well as
encouraging we perform figure 8's in school parking lots if
legally allowed.
o Fernando encouraged everyone to renew memberships, as all of the
club funds are used to offset costs of the annual Rally at Lake
Fayette, the December Christmas party, the Tech day lunches
(Yum), and other ride event costs.
o Motorcycle parts from Beemer Boneyard was highly recommended,
especially the project kits, but other sources were discussed.
Rubber Side Up in Dallas was also mentioned for Used parts.
o A trip out to the Barber Motorsports Museaum in Leeds Alabama
was discussed for October 9-11. More info to follow.
o MPH Cycles was recommended for maintenance of older BMWs, and we
confirmed that Mike Haven and Davy Parsons are working M-F now
at his farm/workshop in HEMPSTEAD. Contact is 281-647-6557 or
at www.mphcycles.com. Mention you are from our Club.
o Jerry Matson is looking for some experienced two-up riders to
help out at the Ironman event in the Woodlands. They carry
camera men and race officials around. We had two attendees
express interest.
o Jerome Istin (not present) has also noted that he is looking
for MC Marshalls for their MS 150 events.
o Safety-On-Two-Wheels sponsored a movie night at Wolfsmiths back
in December to view "Why We Ride". If you missed it and really
want to see it, James Brown has a DVD copy of it that you can
BORROW!! He also has DVD copies of Ride Like a Pro from 2006
and 2012, Hard Miles and Hard Miles 2, and even Wild Hogs.

o Hill Country Hangout in Kerrville Texas is scheduled for April
17-19. Nick Bell is promoting this event, and Jerry mentioned
he has attended twice. See their link at

o Lost Maples Park Campout in Vanderpool Texas is scheduled for
April 23-26. There is a link on the Club Calendar to sign up.
Kevin Clark has coordinated this trip.
o Nick Bell is putting together a GS/Gravel road trip to Southest
Colorado ride from July 9-20. Check with him to join up.
o Jerry Matson volunteered in the Chevron Houston Marathon as a
MC rider to ferry around camera crew. You may have noticed
the plaque on the front of his BMW Saturday morning.
o The 2026 Annual Club Rally at the Oak Thicket Park (Lake
Fayette) is scheduled for October 30 - November 1 this year.
o Next Club Meeting is being held at Wolfsmiths on February 14th
at 9am again.
